Is Mobile Phone Radiation Dangerous?

Cell phone does not emit infrared radiation when receiving SMS / call. Based on an article on Cellular Frequencies (Wikipedia), the frequency band phone is at 800 Mhz, 1800 Mhz or 1900 Mhz, while the infrared waves have a frequency of 300 GHz - 400 THz. This is clearly different. Moreover, in a phone that does not have an infrared communication facilities, no equipment or components that can emit infrared. So where does infrared come from?

Is it safe to use cell phone?

When you send / receive SMS or call , mobile phones emit electromagnetic waves to communicate with the nearest service station. In excessive amounts, this radiation is harmful, but in small amounts, electromagnetic wave radiation is not harmful to humans.

FCC (one U.S. government agency) sets a limit on the amount of radiation allowed for the mobile phone or cell phone. The FCC determines the SAR for mobile phones is a maximum of 1.6 W / kg. Countries in Europe set a maximum amount of SAR is 2 W / kg.
